HEALTH LOCATION: Las Vegas, New Mexico CLIENT: Jane Lumsden and Randy Nakasone COST: Withheld at Owner’s Request DATE: 2007-2008 DESIGN: Our clients wanted a large addition to their physical therapy clinic, and had a tight downtown site in which to do this. After careful planning, we designed an addition with gym space, restroom, office and storage areas. Connected to the existing clinic with a generous portal, the space is light and airy and provides excellent space for classes and treatment sessions. Passive solar heating was employed on the south facing portion of the addition. Major materials are super insulated wood frame construction.
