Rainwater Catchment Systems

Our office has designed several residences, a health clinic and two visitor center buildings where rainwater has been carefully collected and either filtered and stored in underground cisterns or used immediately for irrigation of specimen tree planting areas. In areas where water wells are particularly deep or not feasible, rainwater catchment is again an age old technique of providing facilities with water for domestic and everyday use. Ultraviolet sterilization techniques have made great advances in purification, allowing us to not rely completely on chlorination for anti-bacteria treatments.
